Internal Communications

21 E. 11th Ave.
Columbus, OH 43201
(614) 688-4270

The Internal Communications unit is responsible for providing news and information to Ohio State University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other constituencies. The office also is responsible for creating and implementing communications strategies for the university administration, and consulting with and helping campus units with communications plans.

Among the delivery vehicles for news is onCampus, a twice-monthly faculty/staff newspaper that is sent to more than 20,000 full- and part-time employees and 4,600 select graduate students via Campus Mail and is also available on the web.

The office also produces a daily e-mail and web news and headline service called OSUToday to provide timely information to all 15,300 faculty and staff with active e-mail accounts, and a weekly e-mail and web news service, called Buckeye Net News, for the more than 55,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on the Columbus and regional campuses. The office maintains a web-based Community Bulletin Board that is part of OSUToday as well as other web sites for the university administration.
